I got the tapes and really didn’t have a clue what they meant. I mean I don’t speak German do I? So the plan was to get an English-German dictionary and work it out then tack my findings onto the covers. The first few I did, the tapes had no covers so they went onto the actual cassette which is what I then did with the rest. I guess I learnt a bit of kraut this way.

Personally I preferred the younger one’s (Kruger) stuff. More immediate and funnier. The other stuff was a bit pomp and reminded me of prog which is the shittest music in my opinion. Funnily I was told that the band liked my idea of decorating the tapes like I’d done away with the need for a cover or “empty dressing”, you know that kind of bullshit. Truth was, I didn’t have any covers for those tapes otherwise I would’ve done them on them.
