I got the tapes off Kevin Ashworth who was a kind of a friend of a friend type associate. I was into photography at the time, learning new stuff, trying new ideas so I was always on the look out for stimulus to experiment with. I wasn’t that big a music fan but I thought of the tape designs as a prospective entry into a portfolio that might get me some work. Basically the covers are negatives exposed over an acetate of the album’s track listing. I still reckon they look OK nowadays. Never made it as a photographer. I’m a janitor now.
