Although Guido Van Baelen is immediately striking as a passionately opinionated man, the notable change in his voice when discussing Lustfaust is still surprising. Although some 25 years have passed since he called time on the band, regret and vexation still shine through.

“We had so many opportunities that disappeared through stupidity and pettiness. Looking back we were doomed from the start; too many egos. Had I been older and wiser I might of seen it but I was too caught up with making it big, too young to know better. Bobby saw. He had 20 years on the rest of us and had seen bands come and go, seen how they died. I think that's why he took a backseat on decisions most of the time. He was along for the ride.
